Tiraspol Legal Aid Center (TLAC) - is an association of law students-volunteers who perform the activity of providing consultations in the legal area. TLAC is one of the programs of NGO “World Window”.

The basic goals of TLAC are:
• Providing free legal assistance to socially disadvantaged categories of citizens
• Increasing the educational level of law students
• Informing the population on local and international standards in the field of human rights
• Establishing contacts with local and international organizations, experts in the area of human rights

All the citizens, foreigners and stateless persons, irrelevant of their nationality, gender and religion, have equal access to the legal services provided by TLAC in Tiraspol.

Activities:
• Receiving citizens and providing them with consultations on their legal issues
• Systematizing and analyzing citizens’ legal issues
• Developing legal documents (including complaints/lawsuits)
• Analyzing legal acts and working with legal databases
• Preparing and distributing publications on topical legal issues to population

Principles of activity:
Rule of law; Providing pro bono legal aid; Professionalism and quality of the consultations provided; Trust and moral values; Confidentiality; Accountability; Independence.

Target groups:
• Socially disadvantaged categories of people;
• Students of the Transdniestrian University law faculty.

Work Agenda:

• Number of students-consultants: 24 people divided into 3 groups
• Number of lawyers-practitioners: 2 people
• Days of receiving clients: Tuesday – Thursday: from 02:00 p.m. to 06:00 p.m.
